Units of work and teaching sequences

Story 1: Environment - Aboriginal Perspectives

In consultation with local Aboriginal community members, teachers in the Wagga Wagga group used the context of the environment to develop lesson sequences to incorporate Aboriginal perspectives content from the Science Years 7-10 Syllabus into their Stage 4 or Stage 5 teaching program.

Story 2: Introducing Our Changing Earth

In consultation with local Aboriginal community members, teachers in the Newcastle group used the context of earth science to develop a Stage 5 teaching-learning sequence. Aboriginal perspectives content from the Science Years 7-10 Syllabus is incorporated into this teaching-learning sequence.

Story 3: Astronomy - Aboriginal Perspectives

In consultation with local Aboriginal community members, teachers in the Shellharbour/Wollongong group used the context of astronomy to develop a Stage 4 unit of work.

Story 4: Technology - Aboriginal Perspectives

In consultation with local Aboriginal community members, teachers in the Mt Druitt group used the context of technology to develop a Stage 4 unit of work. Aboriginal perspectives content from the Science Years 7-10 Syllabus is incorporated into the teaching-learning sequences in each part of the unit.
