How did you go about making links with your local Aboriginal community?

Being an Aboriginal person, I knew it was important for us to go and talk to the Elders first, to make our first initial link. So having those connections already, it was quite easy for us to do that.

The first person we contacted was the ACLO, the Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer in District Office, and asked her to help us with finding people in the community.

Sue Lockwood One of the team members that we worked with is Aboriginal and has made links with the local community and we also worked with our local Aboriginal Liaison Officer who was a good link between us and the local Elders.
