Brewarrina Central School Aboriginal Languages Program Team
Background
In November 2005 Brewarrina Central School, the Community Working Party in Brewarrina and the Board of Studies met to discuss the possibility of developing a Language program for the school. There was strong support for this proposal. The school and community had run language and culture programs in the past, and they were keen to start them again, this time using the new NSW Aboriginal Languages K–10 Syllabus. Board of Studies workshops at Brewarrina Central School began in 2006.
