Effective teaching for Aboriginal Languages in Western NSW

Overview and presentations

A two-day workshop was held in Dubbo, 5–6 August 2008, coordinated by the Office of the Board of Studies NSW and hosted by the NSW DET Western Region Aboriginal Education Team. Participants were representatives from eight school-community teams – Brewarrina Central School, Parkes High School, Parkes Public School, Parkes East Public School, Wilcannia Central School, Dubbo College Senior, Delroy and South Campuses. A focus of the workshop was the Quality Teaching model of pedagogy and initiating a research project with the University of Newcastle.
